design process

Step 1. Initial Free Consultation

First contact involves identifying the client's needs; finding out the site's purpose, what the client's expectations are, and who the target audience will be?

Step 2. Needs Analysis and Project Proposal

Based on the information received in the initial free consultation (Step 1), the client receives a formal proposal and a written quote. On acceptance of the site proposal, the client will be asked to sign a Service Contract and a pay 50% deposit before any work on the project can commence.

Step 3. The Planning

This stage begins upon receipt of the clients initial deposit (Step 2) This involves gathering, collating and analysing all relevant information and finally documenting the overall vision. Another meeting will be arranged to review the site design and written client approval will be required to proceed beyond this stage.

Step 4. The Graphics

This stage involves the exploration of the visual concepts and design, gathering logos, photographs and other relevant graphics. and preparing them for the web presentation.

Step 5. The Prototypes

One or more prototypes of the web presentation will be created, in the form of screen shots, to give the client an idea of the completed site. These prototypes will show alternative colours, fonts, layout, etc. Then, in consultation with the client, the best solution will be chosen and written approval from the client to proceed will be obtained.

Step 6. The Site Creation

Using valid XHTML and CSS scripting, the final presentation will be created in close consultation with the client.

Step 7. The Launch

Before presenting the client with the completed web site it will be tested on the WWW. The final version will require the client's signature of approval. Once the final payment is received, the website will be published and the client is presented with the finished website on a CD.
